      when i try to install a port a window open showing the error could not install packages libsdl2-mixer-dev

      Pi Model or other hardware: (4b)
      Power Supply used: (to be honest i don't know)
      RetroPie Version Used : 4.7.1
      Built From: (image on raspberry pi imager)
      USB Devices connected: wireless xbox 360 controller reciever
      Controller used: xbox 360 wireless controller
      Error messages received: could not install packages libsdl2-mixer-dev

        @joaco what port are you trying to install?

        RPi3B+ / 200GB/ RetroPie v4.5.14, RPi4 Model B 4gb / 256gb / RetroPie 4.8.2
        RPi5 4gb / 512gb / RetroPie 4.8.9 -Basic
        Maintainer of RetroPie-Extra .

          @exarkuniv i was triying to install sonic robot blast 2, a similar error happens with other ports, if i knew how to send the log files to here i would send them

            @joaco for that error a log is not really needed. It is having issues installing the right depends. But why.

            I'm not by my pi right now for me to mess with it.

            When did you do this RetroPie install and have you done a update for it yet?

              @exarkuniv not so much, changed the resolution, put wifi, ssh on and some games.
              will try to update today.

                  @joaco glad that it was a easy fix.
                  At the end of my first reply I rememberes that I had the same thing and doing a update fixed it.

                  If you are looking for more ports. Take a look here these are new ones not in the main build
