Bluetooth controller force remap every boot. #RETROPIE
-
Hi
I'm having an issue where I can connect my controllers (XBOX ONE S) with bluetooth but emulationstation force me to remap them every time I reboot. Everything works properly once mapped. The cfg seems fine in before and after emulation station start, the mapping seems okay. My best guess is that the controllers aren't synced yet when emulation station queries to see if any controller are connected. Some redditer suggested adding some sleep time, but that didn't do it for me or I'm doing it wrong. Thanks for any help.

Maybe the auto-configuration for controllers is disabled ?
You didn't mention much about your setup - which premade image did you use - the one from retropie.org.uk/download or other image ? -
I made it with the rapberry pie imager. Honestly, I kind of gave up on this, they work flawlessy wired up but in wireless mode, I'm stuck with that issue but it also stop working as soon as the controller get in sleep mode. They reconnect properly but nothing works. It's a lot of hassle to get rid of one cord.

I would advise to install the
xpadneo
driver from RetroPie-Setup and re-pair (via bluetooth) the controller, followed by re-configuring it again in EmulationStation.
