Can’t configure buttons on retropie

Help. I can’t configure my buttons on retropie. When it gets to left shoulder it doesn’t seem to register the information for any of the buttons.

@richard-baker How many buttons do you have and how .many are assigned. I just did my first controller test and had joystick and 8 buttons, by the time I got to the shoulders I had no more to assign :(

Which Xbox controller do you have and how is it connected ? What version of RetroPie are you using ?

@mitu I actually figured it out myself. I updated retropie and it’s all good now. I actually wiped out my entire retropie burning the Sinden light gun image on my sd card. I can’t figure out how to do this without wiping everything out.
