Game Causes TV to Periodically Restart

I have a Raspberry Pi Model 3B+ that I like to play Street Fighter Alpha 2 on, but sometimes when playing the game starts to slow down and the TV restarts itself. It happens usually within 5-10 minutes of playing at a random moment. The Pi is fine, since when the TV comes back on the game is still running and the speed is back to normal. I tried seeing if it's a voltage issue, but I don't see the yellow lightning marking and I'm using a Canakit 2.5A power supply. The TV isn't exactly 4k either. It's more 720p. It's a fresh install of Retropie as well, so I haven't touched too many of the settings. There isn't a temperature marker either, and there's multiple heatsinks on the Pi itself.

Just as an update, I did some testing myself and it seems like it happens inside of the game only. When idling on the menu, no TV reboot occurs, but when I idle on the title screen for the Street Fighter game, it occasionally starts slowing down and rebooting the TV.

@magnetaphan when you say reboot, do you mean the TV completely turns off and you have to manually turn it back on or does it lose signal for a moment and then come back by itself?

@quicksilver the TV loses signal completely for a few seconds and turns itself back on. After the screen returns everything returns back to normal. The Pi does not lose signal since the game still continues after the TV loses signal.

@magnetaphan it doesn't sound like your TV is restarting. It sounds like its temporarily losing signal. What kind of case is your pi in? is your pi overclocked? Do you have a different power cord you could try? I had a canakit brand power cord for my pi 3 and I had low voltage issues (it rarely showed a lightning bolt symbol on the screen.)
It sounds to me like your pi may be throttling due to low voltage. This is why the game may be slowing down. It would also explain the signal dropping out. I'd recommend removing any overclocks and trying a different power cord. If your pi is in a case like the NESpi case (one that requires your to power the case instead of the pi directly) then try removing the case.

@quicksilver I'll try a different power cord later, but I have it in a clear plastic case that came with a CanaKit, looking something like this:
As with the overclocking, I never touched the settings for that since cleanly installing Retropie, and I haven't attempted to overclock in the Pi's lifespan. Is there a definite way to tell if the Pi has too low of a voltage? I never see the lightning icon and the power cord matches what's recommended in the wiki: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Overclocking/#power-supply

Just as a small update, I tried using a Samsung charger I had but the issues still remained. I'm using this power switcher in-between the charging cable and the Pi if that hurts it:

@magnetaphan try without it just to be sure. Also try on a different TV if possible.
