Cheapest all in one build
-
Hi,
I'm a teacher and have a week off timetable later in the year to do random things with secondary students.I'd like to spend a day building a retropie machine of some sort for each student.
Any ideas of the cheapest 'all in one' build?
Thinking mini monitor and buttons, like a game boy. But obviously budget is a problemThoughts?
Thanks -
@m312 roughly speaking what is your budget?

Umm hard to say. We charge the students, but it has to be affordable. £50? Less?
We can make enclosures in school.
Guess I'm thinking pi zero, a small monitor and little buttons + some sort of interface for the buttons.
And simple enough for me to do with 30 students at the same time haha

i would say a pi zero would be your best bet, and a small screen, like a 3.5.
maybe a small handheld or tiny arcade, kida like the ones you see in the store for pacman, etcif any ports can work for you, here is a more updated list with ones that are working on the Pi4, some should work on the Pi zero
