PCSX-ReARMed on RPi1 doesn't detect joypad but keyboard works

Maybe it's all my fault but I don't know how to fix it, I have a problem with using x360 joypad with only one core, PCSX-ReARMed, games start, are fluid enough for me but I can't control them, pad works in main menu and other default cores but not here, maybe I'm missing something but not sure what. Any possibility to fix it?
My RPi is B+ with official psu from 3B+.

Libretro core lr-pcsx-rearmed should use standard libretro controls.
Stand-alone PCSX-ReARMed requires a keyboard for initial setup, and a controller with a dedicated "home/menu" button:
