P400 & RetroPie + Bluetooth Sound not working?

TL;DR I cannot get Bluetooth amp to work with my p400 to play the sound on RetroPi.
Hey everyone,
I’m a super noob here and started building an arcade machine this past week on a whim.
I’ve gotten all the pieces sourced and worked out, but unfortunately, I am having a bunch of issues with sounds.
I purchased an amp with Bluetooth and have played music through my phone with it prior to setup. I’ve been attempting to set up the sound output but I’ve had zero luck.
I have attempted to connect to the speaker via Bluetooth in the systems control. Once there and selected, it usually freezes and then won’t continue after selecting the type of connection…
There also isn’t much information on the p400 so it’s been hard finding anything. My search history consists of all purple links I’ve sifted through to figure this out lol
Hope someone might have a suggestion or what I can do, or what info you need for you to help me!
My kids are loving it already and can’t wait to have sound for the real arcade experience!
