      Hi,

I am using a Raspberry Pi 4B with RetroPie 4.7.21, but this is more of a general emulation question.

I am aware of the importance of the screen flashing for lightgun games, but I am curious about ways to filter or even remove the flash entirely.

      I have seen

      • no-flash patches for various PlayStation games that remove the flash
      • MAME cheats (akin to Game Genie or GameShark, I guess) that do the same for various arcade games

However, those solutions are system/game specific. I have seen that OBS has some kind of a filter to remove the flash, but that's not really applicable for my use case of playing games with a Pi directly on a 1080p TV.

Has anyone come across other ways of removing the flash from lightgun games in various systems? Ideally, there could be some kind of filter in RetroArch that could be tweaked on a per-game basis. I am all ears for any ideas. 😀

I am also known as "StormedBubbles"
