N64 emulation issues
-
Hi everyone,
I have a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.4 running RetroPie. I upgraded from a Pi 2. The Pi2 didn't handle N64 games great, and I thought this one would.- Some games run slow/glitchy to the point of being unplayable. Notably they are Super Smash Brothers (with more than 2 characters) and Mario Tennis. It says I can't overclock because I don't have a Pi 1 or 2. I'm not sure why these are glitching?
[EDITED: This point was resolved by this configuration from youtube:
Any help of (1) the lag/glitchiness would be much appreciated. I have tried both the 'recommended' emulators to no avail.

@ShmashBroJoe with N64 the "A" is the normal spot for the "B" , which is the south of the controller. The "B" is the normal spot for the "Y" which is the west of the controller. It is set up the same directions as the original N64
