      Should someone decide to try an alternative frontend as mentioned here, is there a "switch-back-and-forth" mechanism in place? Can frontends live side-by-side? If I decide for example, that I am not happy with Pegasus, how hard is it to get back to EmulationStation?

        @cdaters
        there is a front end chooser
        https://github.com/mmatyas/retropie-frontendchooser
        but right now there is a issue open saying that it does not work on the Pi4. not sure it that was ever cleared up

        other then that you will have to go into the autostart.sh and change it from emulationstation to pegasus-fe and back again

          @ExarKunIv Thank you! This is exacly what I was after. I'll report back if the frontend-chooser works with the Pi4 yet...

          If not, the autostart.sh edit will work just as well...
