RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.8
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
Controller used: GamePi43 (mkarcadejoystick)
Emulator: nds (DraStic)what can I do, so that the controls can work with nds emulator?
Best regards,
Zef -
@Gokilz try to connect a keyboard on it, open a game on drastic, press m on the keyboard to bring up the drastic menu, then pick configure controls, and finally manually assign the buttons. Make sure to save the configurations after.

@Genos98 thank you. Now the controls works fine.
I have another question:- Can I rotate the screen also?
- how can I quit from the game without keyboard? Normally I can press select + start to return to main menu

@Gokilz Drastic has a vertical and horizontal screen options which you can change in the configurations. For the second question you need to assign the menu to a button which can be done through configure controls. For me I did assign the menu key to my controller's hotkey so that everytime I pressed that button the menu should pop up and then I exit from there.

@Gokilz you can't rotate the screen in drastic no. So anything like hotel dusk or rhythm factory isn't playable. Well they are playable, just at a 90' angle

For screen and mouse/analog rotate (book mode), see here for a workaround:
It relies on lr-desmume2015. It is a workaround as the book mode issue is neither implemented yet in the lr-desmume2015 nor in retroarch.
@Gokilz would you mind adding the rotate/book mode aspect to the subject on your initial post? This would make it easier to find this topic in future when searching for a similar issue as yours.
