Eh, that was for @rspeaker - if the source .gdi is not valid, then the resulting .chd will also not work. FWIW, starting from a valid .gdi, the resulting .chd is working for me with flycast.

Well, I dont have single .GDI rom files. When I download and unzip them gives me a folder of .BIN files and .RAW files. I then use CHDMAN to convert them to .CHD. And they run. This has worked on every .GDI game I downloaded except for HT so maybe the source is corrupted somehow?

Any other ideas? Ive tried various version of HT in .GDI format as I described above. Nothing works!

@rspeaker Is the .gdi file working, before converting it to .chd ?

Sorry if I was not clear.

Flycast will not read a bunch of files. It either has to be one single .GDI or .CHD file, isnt this correct?
As I stated above, the zipped .GDI file decompressed to a heap of .BIN and .RAW files. Flycast doesn't seem to be able to work with them in this form.

That wasn't clear enough. A .gdi format has a .gdi descriptor (which is similar to a .cue) and the rest are .bin files. It doesn't seem like you have to right file(s) for Flycast.

@mitu With all due respect man! We keep going around in circles on this. I already said that when I unzip the .GDI archive I am then presented with a folder with the .gdi descriptor, .bin files and .raw files. I then use CHDMAN to convert the whole contents to a .CHD file. So if these files are not the right files, how in hell are they playing fine for me (expect HT??!)

OK then, allow me to link the exact source so you can see for yourself:
                    removed.

All .GDI are as I described. Please have a look yourself! If Im wrong, is there some sources on the Net that have the single .GDI file for download? Cuz I aint seen any yet! :P

@rspeaker Please don't post links to ROM sites. My and other forum user have confirmed that a proper .GDI image works when converted to .chd.

We're not responsible with providing you with ROM sites. This topic is closed.
