Hi. I've been having a few issues with this game where it will seg fault maybe 3 out of 4 load attempts. To get around it, I got the latest ver of picodrive from source. The latest binary still has issues. Now that it's working, does anyone know if it's possible to play the western version with the hamburger graphic instaed of the rice cake? i tried to use the on board bios with the game built in, but this just loops the Sega logo.

      ta

I have justed updated to the latest 4.0 build and the seg fault is still in the pre-compiled binaries. I'm having to build from source again

          From source no longer works. /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh: line 826: 1610 Segmentation fault /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-picodrive/picodrive_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/mastersystem/retroarch.cfg "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mastersystem/Alex Kidd in Miracle World.sms" --appendconfig /tmp/retroarch.cfg

I'm not seeing the same issue. Check the md5 of your rom, if it doesn't match f43e74ffec58ddf62f0b8667d31f22c0 then you may have a bad rom.

Thanks I ended up using that ROM, which is the Rev 1 set. It checks out against your MD5 checksum. I was using Alex Kidd in Miracle World (USA, Europe).sms from No-Intro initially.

Now that is sorted, does anyone know anytime about playing the BIOS version of the game?

FYI, any Windows 8\10 users who want to calculate checksum from the command line, use this:
              C:\WINDOWS\system32>certutil -hashfile c:\rompath\rom.ext MD5

              Thanks again bobcat987
