Kiosk Mode won't let me change back to Full

So for starters, the Konami code won't work with my only USB controller, so I decided to try to change it using the terminal. But the problem is when I tried to enter /home/pi/.emulationstation/es_settings.cfg it said Permission Denied. So right now I'm bricked out of my settings. Can anyone help me with my issue?

Oh yeah and I'm also stuck with Garfield as my theme.

If your controller has an analog stick, try using that instead of the D-pad when you enter the Konami code.

What command are you using to "enter" /home/pi/.emulationstation/es_settings.cfg?

@sleve_mcdichael I might try to use the analog and see if that works, and I'm just typing in the /home... command without anything else

Ah, well, that won't do anything. Try writing nano before it.
