HyperPixel 4 Touch & Retropie
-
Hi everybody,
long time ago I built a small wooden case to hold my Retropie machine (based on Jessie) + an HyperPixel4 Touch display (rectangular) + an SSD to host all the roms. Everything worked like a charm and I was really happy of my tiny retro-arcade machine.
Last week, after I built a fighting stick, I decided to download the latest Retropie img (v4.8) instead of performing an update via seup.
I replicated all the setting in the boot, installed the HyperPixel driver to allow the HyperPixel display to be recognized, plus all the other minor configs (wifi, fixed IP, maximize the video memory). At the boot, the HyperPixel turns on, displays the RetroPie splashscreen and after a second when it should show the Emulation station screen, it goes blank; it seems also to break the wifi connection because I cannot login to SSH...maybe it's rebooting, can't be sure without the screen on.
Obviously I have no issue if I put in the Raspberry the old RetroPie image based on Jessie.
Do you have any idea? Have you ever experienced something like this?
Thanks
