      Hello!

I live in the USA and have a few nice NTSC consumer CRT televisions. They have RF, composite RCA, and component RCA (YPbPr) inputs. I would very much like to get component video out of the pi as I think it would be gorgeous.

Now, I've done composite with the fKMS driver, but I get horrible screen tearing. I've not been able to get composite to work at all with KMS, but it does get rid of the tearing. But then I came across this...

      RGB-Pi

It looks like you use the I/O pins to produce SCART RGB. My CRTs don't have SCART as I'm in the USA, but I also found this...

      RGB to Comp

I don't know how easy it would be to get the SCART output ribbon as it looks like it's a European based shop. But if I were to use it with the Retrotink transcoder that I linked to above, would it be fairly easy to get the Pi talking to my TVs in 240p?

I don't see why it shouldn't work, but there are people here much smarter than me, so I thought I would bring it up for discussion.

      Thanks!
