      Hi there -

I noticed that the input_load_state / input_save_state hotkeys don't get set when running the retroarch.sh configscript for the keyboard input type, although all other hotkeys for the keyboard match with how joysticks are mapped, such as input_state_slot_decrease and input_state_slot_increase.

      I'm specifically comparing these lines:

      • joystick: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/blob/b2012749de22b1c5c1a55bc9ce8d39191ec928a3/scriptmodules/supplementary/emulationstation/configscripts/retroarch.sh#L178-L183
      • keyboard: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/blob/b2012749de22b1c5c1a55bc9ce8d39191ec928a3/scriptmodules/supplementary/emulationstation/configscripts/retroarch.sh#L327-L332

I was wondering if there's a reason behind that? All other keyboard hotkeys match how joysticks get mapped (e.g. input_state_slot_decrease, input_state_slot_increase). I'd ideally like the keyboard to match the load/save hotkeys as well for my own setup. Happy to set those manually, though it'd be good to know if there's a reason to avoid that.

      Thanks for any insights!

I don't think there's a special reason behind it - the save/load state hotkeys just haven't been added to the keyboard mapping for RetroArch.

          Great, thanks 👍

I've opened a PR to help improve the consistency between the two input types: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/pull/3539
