Attachment of config files: I don't know how to do this - happy to do so though

How to replicate the problem: I'm trying to change screen resolution, in order to improve how old arcade games play.

I'm using a 4k TV, and the bottom-half of the screen in old games (like the 90s TMNT game) tends to have sprites that are very jerky when the move. I think the problems is that the RetroPie is outputting at 4k, so I'm trying to change its default resolution output.

To replicate the problem: (1) go into RetroPie config via the GUI; (2) go to "display options" (3) go to "Resolution" (4) instead of a list of resolutions being displayed (as suggested in the YouTube guide I was following), the screen will very quickly flash then return to the same screen, like it automatically selected the first option on the following screen.

The net effect is that I can't change the screen resolution from the default. I've read there are other "help" posts with a similar problem, but they're trying to edit the config file manually, I'm trying to use the config tool. But I'll use whatever works.

      Can anyone help?

@Mr-Backlog you should edit the file manually as per https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Pi4/#4k-video-display

raspi-config crashing is a known issue. the option will be removed entirely in future versions: https://github.com/RPi-Distro/raspi-config/issues/155
