Error starting retropie

Whenever I turn on my pi and RetroPie starts booting up, it fails and takes me to the terminal.

It shows three error messages:

Error creating SDL window
Renderer failed to initialize
Window failed to initialize

This happened randomly.
Is anyone able to help me with my issue?

Please add some details about your setup, as explained in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
Post also your config.txt boot configuration file from the sdcard.

@mitu I am sorry, but something interesting just happened.

After trying the fix it stated, my pi won't even boot up. No screen or anything.

@exitkioskmode you may have messed up things that may be too difficult to fix. That fix is from 2016, and may cause bigger issues on a newer os. Might be easier to start over with a fresh install.
