      Hi I'm new and apologize if this has already been answered I did search the forums and documentation but I couldn't find anything with this specific issue.
      I am using the lr-fbneo with an ubuntu distro (pop os specifically) and the hardware is an old dell pc and a 2 player easyget Zero Delay 2-Player USB Encoder. The gamepad works in the menu and when testing it with jtest all buttons and joysticks come up as responsive. When in game for mame it doesn't recognize it and says twin usb gamepad not configured. I tried configuring it by changing to lr-mame and using tab to configure the buttons but it wasn't detected. I tried writing the buttons themselves to the files in arcade folder for retroarch.cfg and it didn't work. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

        I think it's a similar problem to this topic.

        Take not of the numbers shown when the Controller .. not configured message is shown in RetroArch.
        Open the configuration file for the controller from /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads - there should be a .cfg file there with the name similar to your controller. Edit the file (any text editor will do) and add 2 lines in that file:

        input_vendor_id = "X"
        input_product_id = "Y"

        replaceing X and Y with the number from the message shown by RetroArch. Boot again any game and the controller should work.
