      So I updated about a month ago to the beta version, and now when I load games it will sometimes lose all sound.

      It only happens on the default N64 emulator (the other ones either wont load the roms or it will with parts of the screen incorrectly rendering...

      I am confused at where the issue would lie, as it worked perfectly before updating, and am close to just going back to 3.8.1

      RPi B & RPi 3B OC (Now Raspberry pi 4b 8gb)
      Retropie (Latest Stable)
      PiBox with Wind Tunnel Cooling System

        Disable mupen64plus_audio autoconf option as described here:

          This is the only emulator I've had issues with – yes I get sound stuttering or dropping on the games I've played. I figured it was just too hard for the Pi (though that I would think might happen with the larger Playstation games), but I will look into this tweak.
