Hi. I currently have an xbox360 controller in port 1 and a snes pad in port 2. The Xbox controller is the first player controller for all systems. Is there a way I can make the snes pad the first player controller for some systems while still having the xbox controller as the hotkey/select/quit/retroarch controller? or if not, just as the first player controller in all ways for some systems?

I've been trying to do this with Dolphin/GC on my PC for quite some time. I have a wireless GC controller that I'd like to be a cloned controller player 1 (both my Xbox controller and GC controller be player 1) for GC games. I've never been able to do this with Retroarch.

I can do this with Dolphin standalone. Maybe there is a standalone SNES emulator that can do similar.

        Currently running:
Retropie 4.8.9 on a Pi Zero 2W (Overclock Settings: CPU 1400Mhz)
        ES-DE on a GMKtec K6 (Windows 11, 32GB RAM)

@duglor I think you could do quick menu > controls > port 2 controls > mapped port: 1 and then save it as a game or core remap file. Do this for each game or core that requires it.
