      Hi everybody !

      I've a problem with lr-bbetle-psx with tony hawk pro skater 2.
      I've tried 2 different rom (.cue/bin and chd). The rom is launching but i've a black screen...
      Some games run...
      If i watch the /dev/shm/runcommand.log :

      Parameters:
      Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-beetle-psx/mednafen_psx_hw_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/psx/retroarch.cfg "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/psx/Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (France).chd" --appendconfig /dev/shm/retroarch.cfg
      MESA-INTEL: warning: Performance support disabled, consider sysctl dev.i915.perf_stream_paranoid=0

      before i tried to change video mode (actually gl, i tried vulkan, glmode) i've not the error "MESA-INTEL: warning: Performance support disabled, consider sysctl dev.i915.perf_stream_paranoid=0"

      i've tried to install pcsx-rearmed (i'll test tonight with it).
      Wich emulator is better for psx ? I've read lr-beetle-psx but not sure !

      OS : Debian 11 bulleye
      PC : intel NUC
      CPU : Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-7100U CPU @ 2.40GHz
      Ram : 16 Go

      Regards,

        Run with verbose logging to get more info in the logs and post the result on pastebin.com.

        You GPU may not be supported by lr-beetle-psx, what's the output of glxinfo -B ?

            Then wait until you get there, there's no rush.

              @mitu you think lr-beetle-psx doesn't support my GPU ?
              I'll try tonight to launch with verbose mode (i found the log in the same place ?)

              You think lr-beetle-psx is better than psx-rearmmed ?

                Looking at the glxinfo output, it looks ok. Beetle PSX needs at least OpenGL 3.3, if you used an old system with a weaker GPU, that would have been a problem.

                In this case, I'd check if you have the required BIOS files first - they're needed to run games.

                    I filename doesn't tell much (though the ones with [1] are probably useless), it's the contents that matter. Get the verbose log and post it on pastebin.com.

                      Same logs if i try glmode...

                      And same problem with psx-rearmed...

                      @mitu, i think you're right, it's a bios problem

                      root@retropie:/home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS# md5sum scph5500.bin
                      8dd7d5296a650fac7319bce665a6a53c  scph5500.bin

                      e56ec1b027e2fe8a49217d9678f7f6bb  scph5502.bin

                      the md5 sum of the EU bios isn't the good...and, it's an EU's rom (.chd or .cue/bin)...

                      I'm watching for the correct scph5502.bin and try with it

                      That's right !! with the good bios (32736f17079d0b2b7024407c39bd3050 scph5502.bin
                      ) the rom boots !!!

                      Thanks for all !!!

                      Now i've to optimize lr-beetle-psx graphics !! I'll lookink for a thread (hope there is one !!)

                        Shouldn't be slower than a PS1 cd-drive :). Use a .chd and maybe turn on pre-caching (should be in the core options).
