Your RetroPie Setup script version is old. I suggest to update the system and then try again. Instructions: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Updating-RetroPie/

You could try clone the latest RetroPie-Setup manually into a temp directory and install just the
lr-snes9x
core from there.https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup

Why do you want to install it separately ? You can install the binary package instead of installing from source - it should get you almost the same version.

@DukeHash Without be sure if this will work , try to update only the retropie setup script and then install the emulator.

Thank you all very much for your help. Everything turned out updating the script retropie_setup.sh . Thanks a lot
