System temporarily hangs during boot
-
Hello. I have a PiBoy DMG running retropie; I am using the company's official image v1.05. A while ago, I started encountering some slow start times for my system - something seems to cause the system to hang for ~90 seconds during startup.
I suspect it's some process getting stuck or encountering an error in the background, possibly related to online connectivity, but I have no idea how to begin to identify it, let alone fix it.
I wondered if someone here with more knowledge and experience might be able to please take a look at my syslog and let me know if they might be able to tell what is causing the problem? https://pastebin.com/B4m22X7N
Thanks so much in advance! Happy to answer any other questions to the best of my ability. Really appreciate any help or leads you may be able to provide.

We don't support 3rd party images and yours looks like it was customized and changed from the default RetroPie image.
I see you have a number of services (likesnapd
orbt-device
) which are not standard on RaspiOS and I see also an error related to CPU throttling - maybe the system boot is slow because the CPU's frequency is scaled down.
You can usesystemd-analyze
how long it takes each system service to start, it may help identify which one is responsible for the slowdown.
