No prompt to set up my controller
-
I have an older RetroPie on a Raspberry Pi 3 I got a couple of years ago from a friend. I have a small collection of controllers that have always worked just fine. I recently ordered a Pi 4 and this 128GB card from RocketCade
My new stuff arrived today, I set up everything, turned it on and it seems to boot up just fine, but it never prompts me to set up my controller. I've tried each of them, in each of the USB ports on the Pi 4, and it never prompts me to set up anything. How do I force it to set up my controller?
I'm completely new to RetroPie (except for playing with my friend's old system, which was already set up when I got it) but am modestly confident wading into technical things by following a tutorial or set of instructions.

@frankeanu No third party images supported. Its probably an old version on retro pie. Start over from scratch. The newest version of retro pie will always ask for controller config prompt if no controller found.

Re: No prompt to set up my controller
Download the official Retropie build.
https://retropie.org.uk/download/Also don't post such a shady purchase, especially with an included personal referral link.

@lostless Okay, thanks

@Addison Sorry, I just wanted to provide the info of what I was using. There was no personal reference link; it was the URL copied directly from the Amazon product listing. It's now removed.

A correct Amazon link would appear as something like this.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/XXXXXXXXXX/
Yours had extra which meant a referral was also included.
It's okay though.
Just be a little more careful.
It's easy to get suddenly banned here. :P
