[Solved] BlueMsx- XZR I on the MSX - Multiple Disk Problem Here. Help please.
-
Hello,
I have many versions of XZR I (j) for the MSX. 3 Disk 1 of 2s.dsk and 3 disk 2 of 2s.dsk.disk 1 loads fine. Then it says to put Disk "B" in Drive "B". I am using BLUEMSX. MSX 2+ setting.
On all other games. i switch disks using eject..load and insert....for this one...i do it and it still says i need to load disk b in drive b.
Is this a multi drive game where disk 1 needs to be in drive a and disk 2 in drive b at the same time? If so, how is this done with Bluemsx?Has anyone successfully played XZR I on the Blue MSX with .dsk files?

@duglor You need to create an m3u file for multi disk games on MSX usually.
Create something like XZR.m3u in the msx folder with each line being the names of your disks for example mine was:-
XZR (1988)(Telenet Japan)(jp)(Disk 1 of 2).dsk XZR (1988)(Telenet Japan)(jp)(Disk 2 of 2).dsk
Boot that m3u file (you may need to add m3u and M3U as a file extension in /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg I can't remember if it's there by default). For me it bypassed the disk request and went straight into the game. Good luck!

This game, Exile (XZR), exists and for TurboGrafx-CD.

@windg Thanks, but THAT game is actually a translation of XZR II and Exile 2 is actually XZR III. XZR I was not translated into English and is only on the PC-88 and MSX.
