I am using a Raspberry Pi Model B+ V1 2, and I have installed the latest up to date official Retropie operating system from the tutorial. The first time it booted up, it came up with a page saying Illegal Instruction error. Please explain what happened and how I fix it.

Most likely you have downloaded the wrong image for your Pi model - which image did you use for installation ?

@SlavicMystery That is the wrong image for your Pi model, you need the image for Pi 1/ Pi Zero.
