Video Loading Screens

Hello all!
I know this has been addressed elsewhere but I'm trying get the video loading screens to run before each game is launched and while I have found about three different tutorials on how to do this )including this post: [(https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/20322/game-launching-video-loading-screens?_=1690460948801)](link url), I can't get any of them to work. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Would someone please be kind enough to explain the process to me?
Pi Model or other hardware: Pi4 (8GB)
Power Supply used: 3.5a Argon40
RetroPie Version Used 4.8
Built From: Image from Retropie Website
USB Devices connected: 1 512GB USB thumb drive
Controller used: 8Bitdo n30Pro2
