Is there a way to play multiplayer for GBA games in the same retropie using raspberry pi?

There are a few games i'm interested in playing with a friend in GBA.
is there a way to emulate two Gameboys so we can play multiplayer?

I don't think this option is available for GBA, I don't see either mgba or vba-m having split-screen/dual-link support in their libretro cores.

Apologies for bumping an old topic, but partial support for this has been added into Retroarch 1.17:-

This will only work with a handful of games that supported the GBA Wireless Adapter, so for example no Mario Kart Super Circuit.
