      Hello.

I have installed Retropie on a Orange Pi 5 Plus using Joshua Rieks Ubuntu image and everything works fine except the mupen64plus emu. Since the Libretro core is not available on this platform, I need to be able to compile this emu in order to have N64 support. The error is:

      Could not successfully build mupen64plus - N64 emulator MUPEN64Plus (mupen64plus-
      core/projects/unix/libmupen64plus.so.2.0.0 not found).

Here is the full log of the build attempt of just this emulator.

It doesn't show any specific errors so it makes me wonder why it cant build.

      Any ideas?

      Thanks in advance

The libretro core should be available - lr-mupen64-plus-next doesn't have any restrictions on installation.

        The error is:

        Yes, it does:

        ...
        make: Leaving directory '/root/RetroPie-Setup/tmp/build/mupen64plus/mupen64plus-audio-sdl/projects/unix'
        make: Entering directory '/root/RetroPie-Setup/tmp/build/mupen64plus/mupen64plus-core/projects/unix'
Makefile:444: *** No Vulkan development libraries found!. Stop.

To fix this, you may need to install the vulkan development libraries (libvulkan-dev), though I'm not sure why it tries to include vulkan in the first place.

          Thank you @mitu.

I will try installing the vulkan lib but I have another question regarding vulkan since I saw in another post from you that you are very up to date regading this board.

Is it still the case that there is still no vulkan support on linux but only on android?

I have found Khadas debs for the blob driver so do you know if installing these will enable vulkan support in linux?

Thanks for your fast answer 😊

Yes, that's correct - there's no Vulkan driver for Linux.

I don't think so - the Mali drivers also don't have Vulkan support.

              @mitu

              Thanks.

Such a pitty because vulkan works great on the Android images for this board.

I installed the blob drivers and indeed it looks like there is still no vulkan.

PS: Installing the libvulkan-dev package made mupen64plus compile 😊
