I love retropie but setting up lightguns are such a pain and they are a big part of enjoying retro games for me.
Batocera works by default on my guns.
Is there any chance of Retropie getting better support for lightguns in the future?

Depends on the light gun setup I suppose. It is a niche extra, for example I use a dolphin bar with a wiimote, that's presumably a very different setup process to the sinden light gun
