Big apologies... there are a bunch of threads about this general topic but many seem stale. I'm looking for some 2023 "state of the union" responses from those more in the know than me.

I'm running latest RetroPie on an older Ubuntu PC. To be fair, I'm not really sure where it stands in horsepower when compared to a R-Pi 4 (or even a brand new R-Pi 5). My current setup uses advmame but that's possibly stale.

As a general assumption, if CPU and GPU are not an issue:

      1. what is the best emulator for vector games?
      2. is there a repository somewhere for some solid settings/configs for vector titles and the recommended emulator?

Many thanks for any help that might point me in the right direction.
