Save data not found when changing emulator

Hi to all, so I am using Retropie 4.8.6 on my RPi 4 and I have progressed on a N64 game using lr-mupen64plus-next emulator. I noticed that i can get a better resolution from the game using mupen64plus-GLideN64-highres; however when choosing a different emulator my save data is not found and I cannot coninue from where i left off.
If i revert to the previous emulator my save data is still there. Is there anything I can do to have my savedata available when choosing a different emulator?

You'll need to convert the standalone emulator save file to the format expected by the libretro core. I
think this page can help you, upload the memory pack from the standalone emulator (I think the extension is.eep?) and you should get a.srmfile that can be read by the libretro core. -

I have both an eep and srm file however the srm file is the most recent one by date.
