      Hi,

i am currently working on my Prototype to put the Raspberry into a Gameboy Classic.
Everything till now works perfect and i even managed to get it too boot in like 30 seconds.

BUT i tried to add a Splashvideo and run into a Problem.

if a WIFI is available it will Show the Video from second 7 and will be finished loading the Emulation Station at second 17

but if there is NO WIFI available it will Show the Video from second 29 to 39
which makes it difficult to make a decision how Long the Video has to be

is there any chance i can tell raspbian to ignore WLAN (especially DHCP takes time, if he cant find anyting) to boot up
and start it after emulationstation has loaded?

maybe im just searching for the wrong Things on Google and this is just a common Thing, anyway i appreciate any Input :)

      take care

btw here is a pic of the prototype i did use an old ugly looking one for testing purpose only, if im done testing i have some defective good looking Gameboys in my drawer :)

        Sorry just found it

        sudo raspi-config

4 Wait for Network at Boot -> Fast Boot without waiting for network connection

Does it then connect to the network after Emulation Station has booted?

if ethernet or wlan is available -> Yes
so this is a real nice way to speed up the boot process, if u don't need network availability on startup (e.g. boot from lan ...)
