Pi Model or other hardware: Pi 5
      Power Supply used: Official 27w
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.8.6
      Built From: Debian GNU/Linux Bookworm
      Controller used: Dualsense via bluetooth

I installed the Kodi package from binaries in retropie setup and I am able to use it with a keyboard. Kodi is able to detect my controller, but inputs do not register. Is there some sort of input file that may be overwriting Kodi?
I verified the joystick addon is installed and enabled. Input mapping has all the information on my controller and even has all the bindings ready to go.

@Scionni did you map it in Kodi it self?

I think you have to map the controller in Kodi it self.
Could be wrong. It has been a while and I have a few different boards with Kodi installed. So I can be confused

        RPi3B+ / 200GB/ RetroPie v4.5.14, RPi4 Model B 4gb / 256gb / RetroPie 4.8.2
        RPi5 4gb / 512gb / RetroPie 4.8.9 -Basic
        Maintainer of RetroPie-Extra .

@ExarKunIv Yes, Kodi detects my controller and even has an in-app mapping interface that already binds all the correct buttons. I remember trying to re-do the binds just to see if I could and wasn't able to do so with the controller. I will try this again just to double-check.

@ExarKunIv It did not work for my Xbox S wireless controller, but it did work for my Dualsense. Once that was connected, all I had to do was start the binding process by pressing enter on the keyboard while selecting the first binding and then going down the binds with my Dualsense. Thanks!
