That is a great idea, I really like it. I believe there was a project like this I forgot it's name. But it would be cool if you could add friends, chat with them, play games with them or watch them play a game and take over their controller so you can play (kinda like the share play on PS4). Voice chat would be better, but I think this is going to be too much for the RP. I have no idea how long it would take for the topic starter to create something like this.

haha it would be cool if you could play Mario Party (N64) with your buddies online.

An easy to use backup function would be nice too. Something where I can setup all my configs and then be able to back it up right on the Pi. Then if I ever need to restore to say default, I'll have a nice backup ready to go. I understand you can do this already with your SD card, but it would be nice to just be able to backup the configs and settings, since it should be small enough to backup. No need to worry about the roms really?!?! Unless that is an option even with size restraints.

Would SSH or remote terminal be possible?

That would be a great feature to have built into app... currently use vSSH Lite on my iphone now, but somewhat limited features.

by "web controller" do you mean controlling retropie through wifi on phone or something else? ...similar to 3rd party kodi controller apps and/or official xbox controller app?

buuut... there was an application on retropie that has a webserver where you could upload roms and stuff, i wanted to implement that to but i totaly forgot the name, halp?

I will be making a wordpress for all the updates for the RetroPie app, if anyone is against this reply in 42 hours.

Please do an app where all my roms are listed and where I can rate them (one rating in 1-5 hearts for how I like the game and one rating in 1-5 stars for emulation compability)

From that database I could be suggested games that other users like that I haven't rated yet. Based on the equality between my rating and the other users ratings.

And of course you could add friends and such...

ok first thing, i would absolutely love this feature, it would make us play games that we like but we just didn't knew it.
but im not a fantastic programmer, so unless i get help from someone who is experienced in building an AI (if there is someone plz respond) i wont be able to make this.
and one more thing i am rebuilding the entire app in android studio (my hackintosh is broken again so i wont be able to work on an iphone app(i also didn't started building an iphone app, sorry!)).
so if you know anyone that can help me please send them to me!

@Redstoner I know SQL so I could write a stored procedure to recommend games. As long as you gather several users several ratings that's not an issue.

And... It doesn't need to be an app, just a responsive web design.
