      Hi all,

I've suddenly noticed that Retroarch update would output following errors at the end of the process:

HEAD is now in branch 'master' at commit '20401b3ce4b8b3e321e502bc34e4874c95ba6229'
      Already on 'master'
Your branch is up to date with 'origin/master'.
      Already up to date.
HEAD is now in branch 'master' at commit 'b64b14be7d5a5da4000fe2db03fd1ba67f7adca3'
Copying new default configuration to /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg.rp-dist
Error running 'git checkout master' - returned 128
Error running 'git pull --ff-only' - returned 128
      /home/pi/RetroPie-Setup

Problem has just arisen. Update would anyway be flagged as complete, only way to replicate the error is then to re-install Retroarch. I've tried to delete shaders folder but this has not fixed the issue. Full log here.

      System: Raspberry pi4b with Buster

      Any advice?

      Many thanks,
      Michele

The issue is from either the shaders folder or from the core info folder (cores) under /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch. Try renaming the latter and updating again.
