A new resoloution option should be added to raspi-config

I would really love it if raspi-config offered 720x480 DMT 60hz. Thats it. It's the max resoloution of my CRT, so that's why I want it.

@pibell90 raspi-config is not maintained by RetroPie, but it's an utility that comes with RaspiOS and it's supported by the Rasperry Pi engineers. Furthermore, raspi-config no longer supports resolution settings for quite some time, you may be using an older version, where this feature was supported ?

For now, you can manually edit config.txt and add the resolution yourself if you wish, future version of RaspiOS/RetroPie may have different configuration options instead.

@mitu Huh. I just got the image from the website for the pi3, so I am surprised that it was so behind. Thanks, I edited config.txt and got good results.

@pibell90 Scratch that, I am not quite sure how to do this because 720x480 is not a dmt mode that i could find.

@pibell90 Yeah I don't think that 720x480 has a DMT mode, so is there anyway to bypass that altogether?

You can create a custom video mode - see https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=24679, which is aimerd specifically at this kind of scenarios.
