      PI3B and PI5.
      Official PSU.
RetroPie 4.8.8 Buster and Bookworm Lite (manually installed)
Skyscraper v3.11 (running from the command line).

I want to transfer the ‘skyscraper’ folder and the metadata from a Pi 3B with RetroPie 4.8.8 (Buster Lite) to a Pi 5 with RetroPie 4.8.8 (Bookworm Lite). Will the data be compatible with the different versions and hardware?

@sugarfree you should reinstall Skyscraper on the new system, just so the binary executable file is built right for your hardware.

The config dir though, with all of its previously scraped data, is meant to be fully portable from one system to another. So after you reinstall the package, you can copy over your old configs (/opt/retropie/configs/all/skyscraper) to the new system and you should be all set.

You can either build new gamelists with all of the cached data, or you can copy those too (gamelists and media files are either in the individual rom dirs, or in /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/gamelists and ../../emulationstation/downloaded_media.)
