So I've been playing around with the newer consoles on the Pi 5 quite a bit lately using a mix of the stand alone emulator cores as well as the libretro ones that are available.

The results on GC / Wii / PS2 have been very hit and miss, probably more miss when it comes to Wii and PS2.

So my question really is this...

What does the future hold for these consoles on the Pi 5?

I know improvements and optimizations on the emulator cores will happen and things may get better, but are we ever looking at a scenario where these consoles will run well enough to play a vast majority of the library close to full speed?

Or is this a situation where waiting for the Pi 6 might be the best course of action?

I know there are other board and hardware options out there, but I'm asking more specifically about these consoles on a Raspberry Pi.
