Donkey Kong Marquee
EDIT: Lines fixed, Removed blur
-
@lilbud you just became my best friend! :)
-
@edmaul69 Any splashscreens you want in particular?
-
@lilbud Would you make something related to River City Ransom (NES)? :-)
-
@lilbud well since you just made my numero uno, donkey kong number two would be pac-man or number 3 galaga. :)
-
-
@lilbud Great work with that font !
Is it me or is the image a little bit blurry?
-
Yeah, it is blurry. When I first did the art, the lines looked like crap and I thought blurring it would solve that. It didn't, and when I fixed the lines, the blur could not be undone since I had to draw the lines 1 by 1 and did not feel like undoing all of that to fix the blur.Fixed it as best I could

@lilbud Looks fine! Thanks for all your work.

@meleu Here you go.

@lilbud awesome!! Thank you.

@backstander I've never played, would you say the original is better or the GBA version?

I've never played, would you say the original is better or the GBA version?
That's a tough question for me to answer because I grew up playing the original NES version and I have a strong attachment with it but the GBA version has been updated with better graphics, new moves, new items, bug fixes, it doesn't use the dreaded super long passwords and it has an option to have an AI controlled 2nd player to play co-op with.
I'd recommend the original NES version if you have a friend to play 2 player co-op with on the same RPi. If you what to play single player or with an AI controlled 2nd player or if you have a friend with their own RPi then you could try co-op play over network/internet, then I'd recommend the GBA version.

Wow. Every one of these is great. Thanks @lilbud

Inspired by @lilbud, here's my attempt at a Q*bert splashscreen :
-
This one had to be done, I just found out that Club Penguin is shutting down. If you are not aware, Club Penguin was an MMORPG aimed at kids. You took the role of a penguin, which you could dress how you wanted, and play around in the virtual world. This was among the first video games I ever played, and I wanted to pay homage to this wonderful game
