Why do my runcommand menus scale differently on different TV's?

On one TV the runcommand menu shows up like this:
On the other it looks like this:
Is there a setting I need to change to make them scale the same on all TV's?

@TPR I imagine one of these is a CRT and the other one HDTV. They're both using the same 8 or 12-point font, say, but it takes up relatively way more of the limited available real estate on the lower resolution.

@sleve_mcdichael They are both HDTV's just different sizes.
