Atari 5200 issues
-
Merry Christmas to all.
I've been collecting and configuring different games for different emulators for a while, and none of them have given me as many problems as the Atari 5200 emulator. After a lot of work and a lot of testing, I've only managed to get the ROMs with a .bin extension to work, but not the ones with a .a52 extension, which are supposed to work.
I work with a Raspberry Pi 3 and the Retropie version is 4.8.
In the case of the .bin ROMs, I get the well-known message 800 CART NOT FOUND IN DB, after which it stays on a black screen, but pressing the A key on the joystick, the game ends up starting and works correctly.
In the case of the .a52 ROMs, the game doesn't load, and after a while it returns to the Retropie screen of the game list. Looking at the runcommand.log, a message of "1756 segmentation fault" appears.
I have carefully read all the posts related to this emulator and followed their instructions, but I can't find the solution. Specifically, I have checked the following:- I have verified that the BIOS files are correctly installed.
- I have checked the content of the retroarch-core-options.cfg file
- I have tried different collections of ROMS
- I have deleted the lr-atari800.cfg file to force its new creation.
- I have updated the lr-atari800 core
If I can't solve the execution of the .a52 ROMS, I would at least like the .bin to end up booting without having to press the A key on the joypad. If anyone knows how to solve this, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you very much.

Can you give an example of a
.a52
ROM that you found is correct and doesn't boot inlr-atari800
? Please provide the name and the checsum of the file.
