No “Welcome” sign pops up
-
Hello,
I have an arcade cabinet that worked about a year ago, but no longer does. So, I purchased a new Pi 4 and a preloaded SD card from Amazon. When I boot it up, all the games load along with artwork, but I never get a “Welcome “ page to pop up so that I can set my controllers. The joystick will allow me to navigate between systems and games, but can only play the games though my keyboard. Here is what I’m using:-RasTech Pi 4 model B 8GB
-Power Supply (input: 100-240,) (output: 5V - 3000m A)
-SD Card: 512GB (Sonicon preloaded RetroPie Batocera Emulator Micro Spd)Any help would be greatly appreciated,

preloaded SD card from Amazon.
Preloaded cards are not supported here. You can ask the seller for help, or use the official image.
It is not practical to troubleshoot a system that neither you nor we have any idea how is configured. For this reason, third-party builds are not supported in any capacity.
Start here: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation
I suggest you to backup if able your existing roms and BIOS, and then install the latest official image for your hardware from the website at https://retropie.org.uk/download. After the new version is installed, you can restore your backed up folders to the new system.
(Another option for backup, if you can't access the folders through SMB, you can image the card with win32diskimager and then access the image with 7-zip to extract the files on your PC. You will need like 1TB of free space for this though, half for the 512gb card image and the other half for the extracted files.)
