Building 1 game 1 rom sets

Hello,

Ive gathered several complete rom sets and along the way I have recently learned about 1 game 1 rom (1g1r) sets that can be made from complete rom sets.

My questions are:

What are the most up to date tools to make the 1G1R sets from my full sets?

What are the best guides for making these sets with the tool?

My idea is to have a complete set of everything

I.e.
The most recent version of a game, preferred language is English, preferred region is USA but if there was something only released in for example Japan I want that also included in my primary set so that I have a complete set of everything released on the console available.

Of more information is needed (like what rom sets I have specifically) to further help me then I will be glad to provide that information as well.

Retool seems to be created for this kind of 1G1R filtering and creating a .dat file which you can feed to ClrMamePro or Romcenter (just to name a couple of the ROM managers available) to produce a reduced romset collection. See this page for which DAT files are supported.

I’ve tinkered with clrmamepro before but my results kind of sucked with it. The last time I had to do any of this was with the good tools way back in the original Xbox one days.

Any direction for a good tutorial on how to use Clrmamepro the proper way as I obviously had no idea what I was doing even tho I followed a guide lol.

Any other noob friendly sorting by .dat tool recommendations would also be appreciated, like I said it’s been a long long time since I’ve had to do this or anything like it and things appear to have come leaps and bounds since then
