      This weekend I installed Retropie on my x86 machine which worked fine for the most part. But I really cannot find Amiga UAE emulator in the package list which is quite a show stopper for me.

      The script uae4all.sh in Retropie-Setup contains a line:
      rp_module_flags="dispmanx !x86 !mali"

      Please do not say this means that Amiga is not supported on x86 :(
      If so, are there any other restrictions when it comes to x86? I could not find anything about it here:
      https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/RetroPie-Ubuntu-16.04-LTS-x86-Flavor

      Cheers!

        Hi, i just noticed now the amiga missing.
        Infact the best amiga emulator for x86 is winuae, though.
        Regards

          You could install https://fs-uae.net/download#ubuntu

            I added an experimental module for fs-uae - the emulator is stable - just the retropie integration is initial. You get a single menu item under "Amiga" to launch the fs-uae launcher/gui.

              Ok, thanks a bunch! I will try that fs-uae!

              But, out of interest: Why can't we use uae4all on Ubuntu x86? Judging from the name "uae4all" I thought it would indicate that it is multiplatform and not restricted to Raspberry?

                @vbs it's not designed for x86. It may well compile, but fsuae is a better choice on the PC anyway. The name is unrelated. Uae4all on the RPI is a port of the Pandora version which is a port of another version etc etc

                  Awesome, big thanks! I tried that fs-uae and its working great so far!

                  But intially the retropie_setup did not give me any option to install fs-uae. Unter "experimental -> fs_uae" there were no menu entries but "Help". I tried to fix it by changing

                  function install_fs-uae() {
                  aptInstall fs-uae fs-uae-launcher fs-uae-arcade
                  }

                  to

                  function install_bin_fs-uae() {
                  aptInstall fs-uae fs-uae-launcher fs-uae-arcade
                  }

                  in the script and then the menu entry "install from binary" appeared!

                  Sure, that fs-uae is a totally external program but I think i like it more than tha uae4all. fs-uae has a really fancy ingame menu and the initial config dialog was alot more clear to me than the one from uae4all.

                    Ah yes - it should be install_bin - I forgot my own naming conventions ;-) thanks.

                      It seems that something like this will be need for psx, as i dont think lr-pcsx-rearmed is the best option for x86.
                      Best regards,

                          Hi,
                          I installed retropie using the instructions for x86 ubuntu.
                          Now, i would like to add some missing systems:
                          Colecovision
                          Daphne
                          Pcsx
                          Pcsx2
                          Any hint where to begin?
                          best regards,

                            @CoolCat You should open new topics for help (and please check https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first as it helps us when more information is provided.)

                            If those emulators don't show up, they are not supported on x86. You can use mess to emulator colecovision though

                            There are two playstation emulators that should work on x86.

                              Hi,
                              I have pcsx installed and it works better than the other 2 atm on the aspire one
                              I do have pcsx2 but for sure aspire is to weak for that.
                              I have daphne, another port /repo than used by retropie.
                              As for the colecovision i didnt looked further.
                              Well, mostly im posting as a feedback for the x86/ubuntu port...
                              It seems that both pcsx and pcsx2 is apt-getable per default on ubuntu.
                              Best regards,
