Hi guys I'm really new to retropie I just purchased one already setup I absolutely love it but what's annoying me is that playing GBA games is fine all work ps games the same but when I play snes or nes games the buttons aren't configured to bring up RGUI menu or to exit the rom all together iv tried loads of video tutorials but they all seem to differ slightly from the other and I think after following some of these tutorials I might have made things worse. Any suggestions on how easiest way to map the buttons for snes nes and even n64. I'm using pi3 4.02 with 2 usb snes controllers iv tried to map a ps4 controller too.

@hannaman for nes/snes (and any retroarch emulator) you can check the instructions here:

@hannaman if you purchased one all set up with RetroPie on it (which is illegal to sell by the way) perhaps the seller will stand by the product and help with support instead of referring you to the people he's ripping off.

Thanks guys the core input mapping seems easiest option but when I press select and x the RGUI doesn't come up and I can't seem to find this setting in retroarch.

Can anyone suggest why no controls work in the ports section? Also how can I just start from scratch if possible anyway to just start from a clean slate and set it up myself?

@hannaman some ports require manual configuration. Most things are documented on the wiki - see https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/First-Installation for a fresh install.

I recommend doing that, as I have no idea what state you have bought the software in.

"Note for eBay: No copyright material is contained on this item. All software supplied is open source and free of copyright. " Yeah - sure!
