      I've just installed a new PowerBlock to my Raspberry Pi3. After following the instructions from this page: http://blog.petrockblock.com/gadgets/powerblock-another-power-switch-for-the-raspberry-pi/ I've installed the drivers and rebooted my Pi. I've gotten the switch to work, but after the system boots to my RetroPie splash screen, it crashes, reboots, and repeats this cycle until I cut the power.

      0_1473617532143_PowerBlock crash v2.jpg This is the error screen that I get before it reboots and tries again.

      If I remove the PowerBlock from the Pi, it operates normally.

      I've had RetroPie running with no problems up until this point. I'm currently running the latest version of Raspbian:
      pi@retropie:~ $ cat /etc/os-release
      PRETTY_NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie)"
      NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux"
      VERSION_ID="8"
      VERSION="8 (jessie)"

      Any help would be appreciated.

        Are you sure your switch is wired to the correct pins? Have you tried disabling the power switch in the .conf?

          Problem Solved!

          I got a little too fancy with my original setup. I had bought a rocker switch with a built-in LED, apparently that was just enough to throw it off. Once I tried it with a regular switch, everything worked as advertised. Thanks for the reply though, @fireraisr !

          Lesson learned, keep it simple.

          That said, if anyone knows how to get the LED rocker switch working, I'm all ears. The switch I had tried to use is a Philmore switch, part number 30-16126. ;)

            To give one example of a working LED switch: http://www.reichelt.de/Drucktaster-Druckschalter/S-9156-RT/3/index.html?ACTION=3&GROUPID=7586&ARTICLE=44438&OFFSET=500&SID=12V5EXXqwQATQAACPlsIw60cfdafcf30200ae7937a68c7979b5bb&LANGUAGE=EN

              I'm using one of these:

              https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0094GWD9W

              It's an illuminated latching switch, rather than a rocker, but I've not had any issues with it (and gave a couple to other guys for their powerswitches and they both reported they worked fine)
