      Hi,
I've been using UAE4ALL on my Pi3 (retropie v 3.6) with a wired USB controller (iBuffalo SNES model). Everything works all fine and dandy except for the custom controller tab. Any time I switch on custom controls, no matter what I put in the dropdowns for button allocation, the buttons do absolutely nothing.
When I keep the dpad to default, this works, but the buttons don't, no matter what mapping. If I set the dpad to custom as well, even if I put in the correct mapping, nothing happens.

The mapping I've been testing with is joystick mapping for the dpad and a selection of keys and fire buttons for the controller buttons.

I should say, I'm not a noob to UAE4ALL - I've used it on the Nvidia shield with custom mapping in place and it was fine. On the pi, I can only play games using one of the default mapping sets.

      Am I missing something obvious?

Oh aren't I the stupid one.

Completely misunderstanding what 'hardcoded' means in terms of controls.

Guess I just have to wait until they're unhardcoded...
